Dhimahi Talks creates research-based content for society: clear Hindi explainers on Indian history, social issues, culture and everyday science.

उद्देश्य और दृष्टिOur mission and vision

Mission · उद्देश्य

To create research-based content for society: investigating questions that matter to people and explaining what the evidence shows, in clear Hindi that anyone can understand and check.

Vision · दृष्टि

A society where reliable, well-researched knowledge is open to everyone in their own language, and where people are equipped to question, understand and decide for themselves.

What Dhimahi Talks is

Dhimahi Talks is an independent, Hindi-first organisation, registered as an MSME in India, whose main objective is to create research-based content for society. We research questions about Indian history, society, culture and everyday science, and share what we find as clear explainers, mostly short videos on our YouTube channel.

What we are trying to build

A trusted source of research-based explanations in Hindi: every explainer backed by a research note with its sources, longer research projects over time, and a habit of asking good questions and answering them carefully. We are at the beginning; our research archive is being built now.

Our approach

  • Clear, simple language, with Hindi first.
  • Questions rather than slogans.
  • Keeping what is documented, what is interpreted and what comes from tradition or belief clearly apart.
  • Respect for Indian wisdom traditions. Our channel's description names the thought of Pt. Shriram Sharma Acharya and Mata Bhagwati Devi Sharma as an inspiration. We present such ideas as ideas, not as historical record.

Our relationship with media

Video is how we reach people, and YouTube is our main channel. This website adds what a video cannot: context, sources and corrections.

Sources and transparency

We intend to show the sources behind every explainer and to correct mistakes openly. We are putting these standards into practice now; some of our earlier videos do not meet them yet. Read our research standards.

What Dhimahi Talks is not

  • Not an academic research institute or university body: our research serves public understanding.
  • Not a fact-checking organisation or a news outlet.
  • Not a religious organisation, and not a unit or branch of any other organisation.
  • Not the producer of third-party speeches, songs or recordings that appear in our channel archive.

Our name

धीमहि (dhīmahi) is a word from the Gayatri Mantra. Our name is Dhimahi Talks; our YouTube channel is @dhimahitalks (opens in a new tab) and our website is dhimahitalks.site.

Our journey

  1. 2020–2021The YouTube channel published talks by youth speakers, devotional recordings and Gayatri Pariwar-related material. In its video descriptions it described itself as “Motivation Point of AWGP”.
  2. 2022–2024Occasional community and event videos.
  3. Late 2025–2026As Dhimahi Talks, short explainers on Indian history, national memory, current events and science.

Today we are building a source-first explainer practice, with this website as its home. Earlier videos remain available in our channel archive.

Our organisation and attribution

Dhimahi Talks is our own, independent organisation, registered as an MSME in India. It is not a unit or branch of any other organisation. Earlier videos on our channel include talks, songs and recordings by other people and organisations, including speakers associated with Gayatri Pariwar and Prantiya Yuva Prakoshtha Bihar, and public figures. These remain their work; we label them in our channel archive.
